Kai conducts analysis of investments against a range of environmental, social and governance criteria for both new ideas and companies in Greenbank’s investment universe. Kai’s focus is on climate impact and risk assessment across the investment portfolios Greenbank manages and his areas of interest include climate solutions, net zero and smart cities. Kai joined the ethical, sustainable and impact research team in March 2019 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Law and he is a CFA Charterholder.

Kate is head of Greenbank’s ethical, sustainable and impact research team. She oversees the development and implementation of the team’s sustainability assessment framework, analysing investments against a range of environmental, social and governance criteria. She also monitors emerging sustainability themes, sets priorities for Greenbank’s stewardship and engagement activities and has developed the team’s systems for the measurement and reporting of portfolio sustainability and impact performance. She joined Rathbones in 2007 after graduating from the University of Bristol with a masters in Philosophy and Mathematics.

Kitty has completed part one of the CISI level 3 Investment Operations Certificate and is working towards completing the remaining two exams.

Laura is an investment director with 10 years of experience helping not-for-profit clients invest in line with their values and ethics. Laura graduated with an undergraduate and master's degree in Geographical Sciences from the University of Bristol and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. She began her career at Barclays Wealth then moved to Saunderson House followed by CCLA before joining Greenbank in 2022. Laura also sits on the investment committee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as an independent investment adviser.

Laura is an investment director with 10 years of experience helping not-for-profit clients invest in line with their values and ethics. Liz joined Greenbank in 2022 and is an investment manager. She previously worked at Cazenove Capital for 10 years where she started her career in wealth management.

Liz has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biology from the University of Bristol. She also spent time studying law where she obtained the Post Graduate Diploma in Law, and went onto study the Legal Practice Course, for which she achieved a Distinction.

Liz holds the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Liz joined Greenbank in 2022 and is an investment manager. She previously worked at Cazenove Capital for 10 years where she started her career in wealth management.

Lucy is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments having achieved the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma (Securities) in April 2021. She will shortly begin her studies towards the CFA Level 2 qualification.

Michael joined Greenbank in 2021, having started his career with BlueBay Asset Management in London in 2018. He has successfully passed the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma and is currently studying towards the CISI Level 7 Diploma in Wealth Management. Michael has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol, and a Masters in Finance from University College Dublin.

Having graduated with an MA in History from the University of Cambridge in 1981, Nick began his investment career with Tilney & Co, in Liverpool, where he spent 24 years. He joined Rathbones in 2011 after spending time as head of asset management with an investment boutique and with J O Hambro Capital Management in London. He was elected a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1986 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Although Nick specialises in the management of private clients, trusts, pensions and charities he is also a highly experienced US and global equities fund manager. A past Citywire Cover Star and a two time winner at the Lipper Citywire All Star Awards he has considerable experience working with national media and the trade press, both in the UK and USA. He contributes to the Rathbone investment process being a member of the International Equities Committee and is a member of Rathbones Adviser Specialist Group.

Nicola Day is an investment director with over twenty years experience in managing bespoke portfolios for private clients, charities and pensions. Nicola has a BSc (Hons) in economics and an MSc in corporate governance and ethics. She is also a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Nicola joined Greenbank in August 2006 from Gerrard Investment Management Limited where she was head of the ethical division for six years. Prior to this she spent twelve years as an investment manager at HSBC Investment Management, formerly James Capel.
