Iain Craig
Investment manager
Liverpool Iain.Craig@rathbones.comA graduate of the University of Liverpool with a BA (Hons) degree in Modern History and Politics, Iain began his career with BNY Mellon working with institutional clients in its asset servicing division before moving to Rathbones in 2015. Iain is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has been awarded the level 7 CISI Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification. He also holds the CFA Investment Management Certificate and the CISI Investment Administration Qualification.
Jane Wilcock
Investment director
London jane.wilcock@rathbones.comJane is an investment director working with both Greenbank and the London Charities team. She graduated in 1998 with an honours degree in Economics from Nottingham University and is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager.
She trained at Tilney in Liverpool, managing portfolios for private clients, trusts, pensions and charities, before moving to Brown Shipley and Co, where she became a voting member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, providing equity research and guidance for the wider firm, and was involved in managing the in-house UK equity funds.
Jane joined Barclays’ portfolio management team in 2008 where she became a specialist in managing bespoke and ethical portfolios on behalf of Charity clients, and was a voting member of Barclays UK Equity Committee and the Charity Investment Committee.
Joe Crehan
Investment manager
Glasgow joe.crehan@rathbones.comJoe is an investment manager at Rathbone Greenbank, specialising in managing ethical portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and charities. He is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has been awarded the Institute’s masters level Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.
He joined Rathbone Greenbank in 2014 having previously worked for educational charity Teach First as a secondary school Physics teacher. He is a Physics and Philosophy graduate with a BSc and MA from Bristol University.
Joel Swift
Assistant investment manager
Joel.Swift@rathbones.comJoel joined Rathbone Greenbank in August 2020 and is an assistant investment manager. He was awarded the CISI’s Masters level Chartered Wealth Manager qualification in December 2021. Joel began his career at BDO LLP, where he spent four years as an auditor. He qualified as an ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant in September 2019. Prior to this, he read History at Durham University, graduating in 2016.
John David
Head of Rathbone Greenbank Investments
Bristol john.david@rathbones.comJohn David is head of Rathbone Greenbank Investments and is an investment director. In addition to managing bespoke private client and charity portfolios, John also sits on Rathbones' responsible investment, stewardship, and responsible business committees.
John is a graduate of Exeter University and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He began his financial career in 1997 with UBS Warburg in London before moving to Bristol to join Greig Middleton. He joined Rathbones in 2001 and was a founder member of Rathbone Greenbank.
Jonathan Moon
Investment director
Jonathan.Moon@rathbones.comJonathan is an investment director at Rathbone Greenbank, specialising in managing tailored investment portfolios with a focus on sustainability, impact and ESG considerations. He started his career as an investment adviser at Tilney Investment Management and has since held roles at Close Brothers Asset Management and Sanlam Private Office, working with both private clients and professional intermediaries.
Jonathan holds the Investment Management Certificate, the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Diploma and the CISI Masters in Wealth Management. He is also a CFA Charterholder and holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing as well as the STEP Certificate for Financial Services.
A Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities and Investments, Jonathan has a B.A. in Management Studies with Spanish from the University of Nottingham. He joined Rathbones in March 2022 and provides values-based investment solutions for private clients, trusts and charities, with an emphasis on ethical and socially responsible portfolios.
Kai Johns
Ethical, sustainable and impact researcher
Bristol kai.johns@rathbones.comKai joined the ethical research team in March 2019 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Law. He is responsible for assessing the social and environmental performance of companies.
Kate Elliot
Head of ethical, sustainable and impact research
Bristol kate.elliot@rathbones.comKate is head of Rathbone Greenbank’s ethical, sustainable and impact research team. She oversees the development and implementation of the team’s sustainability assessment framework, analysing investments against a range of environmental, social and governance criteria. She also monitors emerging sustainability themes, sets priorities for Greenbank’s stewardship and engagement activities and has developed the team’s systems for the measurement and reporting of portfolio sustainability and impact performance. She joined Rathbones in 2007 after graduating from the University of Bristol with a masters in Philosophy and Mathematics.
Kate Shepherd

Kate has been awarded the Investment Advice Diploma and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Bristol katherine.farr@rathbones.comKatherine joined the investment team at Rathbone Greenbank as an intern in March 2020 before moving into the ethical, sustainable and impact research team in January 2021. She is responsible for analysing investments against a range of environmental, social and governance criteria as well as assisting with engagement projects. She holds a BSc in Anthropology from Durham University and a CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
Kitty Howard
Client service executive

She has a Bsc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Gloucestershire and began her career at The New Zealand Red Cross. Kitty has completed part one of the CISI level 3 Investment Operations Certificate and is working towards completing the remaining two exams.
Liz Davies
Investment Manager
liz.davies@rathbones.comLiz joined Greenbank in 2022 and is an investment manager. She previously worked at Cazenove Capital for 10 years where she started her career in wealth management.
Liz has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biology from the University of Bristol. She also spent time studying law where she obtained the Post Graduate Diploma in Law, and went onto study the Legal Practice Course, for which she achieved a Distinction.
Liz holds the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Lucy Lepore
Assistant investment manager
Bristol lucy.lepore@rathbones.comLucy joined Rathbone Greenbank in 2020. She graduated from Cardiff University with a first class degree in Mathematics, Operational Research and Statistics (BSc).
Lucy is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments having achieved the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma (Securities) in April 2021. She will shortly begin her studies towards the CFA Level 1 qualification.
Michael Richardson
Trainee investment manager
Bristol michael.richardson@rathbones.comMichael joined Greenbank in 2021, having started his career with BlueBay Asset Management in London in 2018. Michael has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol and a Masters in Finance from University College Dublin.
Michael is working towards the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma.
Nick Roe-Ely
Investment director
Liverpool nicholas.roe-ely@rathbones.comNick began his investment career after university in 1981 with Tilney and Co, in Liverpool, where he spent 24 years. He joined Rathbones in 2011 after spending time as head of asset management with an investment boutique and with J O Hambro Capital Management in London.
Having graduated with honours in History from the University of Cambridge he was elected a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1986. Nick is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Although Nick specialises in the management of private clients, trusts, pensions and charities he is also an experienced US and global equities fund manager, and contributes to the Rathbone investment process being a member of the International Equities Committee. Additionally, he is a member of Rathbones IFA specialist group.
Nick lives in the Wirral, and when not keeping tabs on two teenagers tries to pursue his interests in sport, history, gardening and DIY.
Nicola Day
Deputy head of Rathbone Greenbank Investments
Bristol nicola.day@rathbones.comNicola Day is an investment director with over twenty years experience in managing bespoke portfolios for private clients, charities and pensions. Nicola has a BSc (Hons) in economics and an MSc in corporate governance and ethics. She is also a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Nicola joined Rathbone Greenbank in August 2006 from Gerrard Investment Management Limited where she was head of the ethical division for six years. Prior to this she spent twelve years as an investment manager at HSBC Investment Management, formerly James Capel.
Perry Rudd
Ethical, sustainable and impact research adviser
Bristol perry.rudd@rathbones.comPerry joined Rathbones in 1999 after a career in the IT industry. He acts as adviser to Rathbone Greenbank’s ethical, sustainable and impact research team, which he headed until 2021. He was responsible for establishing the team’s proprietary research database and continues to be involved in its development. He also conducts thematic research into key responsible investment issues as well as monitoring corporate performance on environmental, social and governance matters. Perry was a founder member of Rathbone Greenbank in 2004.
Rosie Sparrowhawk
Investment manager
Bristol rosie.sparrowhawk@rathbones.comRosie joined Rathbone Greenbank Investments in June 2015. She has a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Manchester. Rosie is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has been awarded the Institute’s masters level Chartered Wealth Manager qualification. She has also been awarded the CFA UK Level 4 Certificate in ESG Investing.
