Through our research we are able to identify such quoted opportunities, both in the UK and overseas. We endeavour to provide backing to start-up or developing companies. We sponsored the Pennine Downing Ethical Venture Capital Trust (VCT), launched in 1999 as the UK's first ethical VCT. This invests in unlisted companies or those quoted on the Alternative Investment Market.
We offer an ethically screened Enterprise Investment Service, in conjunction with Rathbones' specialist EIS team. Both VCT and EIS vehicles offer significant tax advantages for many UK investors. We are also introduced to ethical investment opportunities from other organisations. These may include specialist funds or bond issues offered by fair trade or charitable organisations.
