In constructing your portfolio we use a number of approaches in order to match your needs as closely as possible, including:

Positive selection
Identifying investments likely to be of particular interest to you. For example, companies with strong environmental, employment or human rights policies.

Negative screening
Excluding companies involved in activities of concern to you. Examples might include arms or tobacco businesses.

Best of sector
Investing in companies which have a better than average track record for their sector on key issues.

Thematic investment
Researching key issues, seeking to understand the involvement of companies and the investment implications.

Company dialogue
Raising issues with companies to help them understand and improve the environmental and social impacts of their business.
